I'm a Philadelphia-area-based
full-time freelance writer, with articles and books published in travel, business, history and antiques, and technology.
I also specialize in writing about Mexico and antiques, two subjects
about which I have extensive knowledge. Such a varied repertoire
has
provided me with a varied outlook on the world. My articles, which have appeared in a
variety of publications, are mostly features dealing with topics that are of personal interest.
My work has taken me to over 70 countries, researching such diverse subjects as living under terrorism in Northern
Ireland, retracing the steps pioneers along the Oregon Trail, training through Eastern
Europe, discovering the Russia of the Czars, gallery hopping in Paris, and climbing ruins
in Mexico.
What do you look for in a writer?
Reliability, self-motivation, fast turn-around, accuracy–I can provide all these
essentials and more. As a writer with over 23 years experience, I can tackle a variety of
assignments from hard news to features. Your publication's style is important to you. I'll
work with you to make sure that my writing fits your specifications. I'm fully
computerized and can deliver text and digital photographs by E-mail or on CD.
A photojournalist as well, I can supply my own quality digital illustrations, as well as create
photo essays and picture stories. I'm also the recipient of Mexico's prestigious La
Pluma de Plata Award for excellence in travel writing, the Real Award
from Westin Hotels for overall excellence in journalism, and three awards
from the National Association of Hispanic Publishers for my
writing on Mexico and Latin America.
I look forward to working with you.
